My all time Fav
I read the Little Prince when I was in school. Over the years this book has grown over me. I love every page of this book. It has a strong message for everyone. Many of us sleep walk through life, some sleep walk all the time. We don't realize how precious our little life is on this little planet.

The essence of this book for me lie in these lines spoken by the fox to the Little Prince:

"What is essential is invisible to the eye,"
the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

"It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important."

"It is the time I have wasted for my rose-"
said the little prince so he would be sure to remember.

"Men have forgotten this truth," said the fox. "But you must not forget it.
You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.
You are responsible for your rose..."

"I am responsible for my rose,"
the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

Too Small A Book
A bit disappointed in this paperback edition of The Little Prince being so very small and the art work being so ill defined.
Service was fine.

Borrowed book from a friend; seems I missed it as a kid.What a delight!Transported me back to the young years.I especially loved the Lamplighter!HIghly recommended for everyone, young and old. I felt so young at heart and almost silly after reading it in a much-too-quickhour.

Everyone Must Read This. No Exceptions.
The Little Prince is a character who, once he has asked a question, will not let it go until he has an answer. Also, he is from an asteroid, a planet as small as a house, and has tamed a flower there. He has come to earth looking for friends and he meets our narrator, a person of the sort of sensibility one would need to understand and be understood by our Prince.
I wish I had been given this book as a child...the book is truly life-changing and important.

An interesting book with minor issues.
The main thrust of Adam's book is that Baptist are true reformers and that they have gone the farthest to restore the church back to "primitive Christianity"."There is a great deal of this work of reform before the churchat the present day.Especially is this true of the Baptist churches of this country.They are prepared to labor for a more thorough reformation than any others can undertake."(25).
The primary example used to show that Baptists are true religious reformers is through the ordinance of baptism. He believes that infant baptism violates true Christianity on multiple levels and that the Baptist practice of adult immersion brings the church back to its biblical roots.
In the end Adams does a good job connecting his lectures together to make a solid argument for believer's immersion.And I agree that Baptist's doctrine is more pure on this matter than other denominations.However he does slip up on side details and it is hard to swallow that getting one ordinance right puts Baptists ahead of every other denomination.Does one ordinance make Baptists true reformers when so much more needs to be corrected in the church?
