Click below to join us in an AfterGlow *SILVER Let us be frank. To fully appreciate Titus, we had to read Shakespeare’s original play Titus Andronicus, so if you haven’t recently savored Shakespeare’s work and are unfamiliar with his poetic language and old English vocabulary, you might find this adaptation disengaging. On the other hand, even though it can’t quite stand on its own, the movie is a superbly acted effort to immortalize Shakespeare’s early play on the big screen. In trying to make the play more appealing to our time, and perhaps to save money on expensive period setting and wardrobe, the film weaves in and out of modern scenes of car filled streets, extras dressed in black suits and hats, villains unleashing their obsessions to rock music in front of rows of computer gaming machines. This could be seen as an attempt to use Shakespeare’s

FLEET BANK-NH March 2, 1999 James H. Schulte , of Dover, by brief and orally, for the plaintiffs. Pierce Atwood , of Portland, Maine ( Byrne J. Decker on the brief and orally), for the defendant. THAYER, J. The plaintiffs, William F. Hopkins, Jr., Frances G. Hopkins, and Hopkins Enterprises, Inc., appeal a decision of the Superior Court ( Mohl , J.) granting summary judgment to the defendant, Fleet Bank-NH. We reverse and remand. On August 13, 1992, the defendant and the plaintiffs entered into two agreements, a "Forbearance, Deceleration and Workout Agreement" (forbearance agreement) and an "Escrow and Discount Agreement" (discount agreement). The forbearance agreement consolidated multiple loans owed by the plaintiffs to the defendant into a single promissory note in the amount of $2,891,250 at an interest rate of 7.5% and payable in full on August 13, 1995.

    Thomas Sternhold
Attended Oxford, but did not graduate. He became the "Groom of the Robes" of Henry VIII, and retained this office under Edward VI. Sternhold first began his work on the Psalms for his own "Godly Solace" and is said to have sung them while accompanying himself on the organ. Apparently the young Edward VI heard them and asked for them to be repeated in his presence. Edward later provided patronage for Sternhold to work on his Psalms.
Sternhold composed his Psalms to be sung as ballads, which he hoped would replace the "amorous and obscene" songs commonly sung by the courtiers. Sternhold died in 1549.
    John Hopkins
A clergyman and schoolmaster in Suffolk who apparently became Editor of Sternhold's psalter after Sternhold's death. He published a version of the Psalter shortly after Sternhold's death. His name is mentioned as having been one of the exiles during Queen Mary's reign, but his place of exile is unknown, but he re-appeared after the exile and in 1560 he brought a large number of Psalms to Daye's edition of 1560-1561.
Hopkins contributed 60 Psalms to the 1562 Psalter, which is more than any other contributor by a considerable margin. All of his Psalms are in Common Metre, like Sternhold's, but they differ in that Sternhold only rhymed the second and fourth lines of his verses, while Hopkins would rhyme both the first and third and the second and fourth lines.

JOHN WILLIAM HOPKINS AND EDWARD C. HOPKINS CAC Accession No. 18 John William Hopkins (1825-1905) was born in Liverpool. He received his architectural training in England and emigrated to Canada in 1852. Upon his arrival in Montreal, Hopkins became a partner of James Nelson (1830-1919). Noteworthy among their projects was the design of the Mechanics' Institute (1854) in Montreal. Later Frederick Lawford joined the firm, which subsequently was renamed Hopkins, Lawford and Nelson. This firm was in operation until 1860. Hopkins then practised architecture on his own until 1893 when his son Edward C. Hopkins (b. 1857) became his partner. The father and son practised together until Edward relocated to Calgary in 1904. The elder Hopkins was the first president of the Province of Quebec Association of Architects, a position that he held from 1890 until 1891. SCOPE AND CONTENT Architectural Drawings, 1856-95, 18 drawings. Included are two drawings of designs by Hopkins, Lawford and Nelson for the Old Post Office in Kingston, ON. Drawings by Hopkins and Hopkins include designs for houses in Montreal and Ste. Anne-de-Bellevue, PQ and drawings of the Harbour Commissioner's Building in Montreal. IN THE COURT OF APPEALS OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI NO. 95-CA-00372 COA WILLIAM L. HOPKINS APPELLANT v. ANNWOOD J. HOPKINS APPELLEE THIS OPINION IS NOT DESIGNATED FOR PUBLICATION AND MAY NOT BE CITED, PURSUANT TO M.R.A.P. 35-B TRIAL JUDGE: HON. WILLIAM ROBERT TAYLOR, JR. COURT FROM WHICH APPEALED: CHANCERY COURT OF PEARL RIVER COUNTY ATTORNEY FOR APPELLANT: WALTER W. TEEL FOR APPELLEE: REBECCA C. TAYLOR NATURE OF THE CASE: DOMESTIC RELATIONS TRIAL COURT DISPOSITION: MOTION TO RECONSIDER FINAL JUDGMENT OF DIVORCE OVERRULED BEFORE BRIDGES, C.J., HERRING, AND PAYNE, JJ. BRIDGES, C.J., FOR THE COURT: William and Annwood Hopkins were granted a divorce on the ground of irreconcilable differences on December 8, 1994. William now appeals the denial of his Motion to Reconsider, arguing that (1) the court failed to grant child support; (2) the court failed to properly divide the assets of the parties; (3) the court erred in awarding an excessive amount for alimony; and (4) the court erred in hearing testimony regarding a letter written by William over ten years prior to the hearing. Because we find that the chancellor committed reversible error with regard to issues one and two, we hereby reverse and remand this case for reconsideration. FACTS William and Annwood Hopkins were married in Picayune, Mississippi on June 15, 1976. They adopted a daughter, Tanya, who was born on May 29, 1979. The couple separated in Pearl River County on March 29, 1993. William filed suit for divorce on May 6, 1993, on the ground of habitual cruel and inhuman treatment or irreconcilable differences. He requested custody of Tanya, as well as support, because of the child's dismal relationship with her mother. Annwood also filed suit for divorce seeking custody of Tanya, equitable division of the property, and alimony.
