Problem Solutions in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Designed primarily for 1st-Year and 2nd-Year college students in circuit analysis coursework, EE200 is an educational tool. It requires students to know in advance relationships between variables, units appropriate to a particular problem and formulae to express units and their relationships. In using the many advantages of EE200, students can:
  • Avoid math and units errors View the units appropriate to inputs and solutions Convert automatically between units Augment the TI calculators' 125 built-in units in 27 categories with 145 more units and 25 additional unit-categories relevant to Electrical Engineering Save formulae and answers from homework or exam questions to check work later Use ordinary language and notation in developing formulae and units to solve problems Be alerted in advanced to incorrect, unbalanced formulae and units

IEEE
is the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. The IEEE established the IEEE History Center in 1980, in anticipation of its Centennial celebration in 1984. In 1990, the Center moved to the campus of Rutgers University, which became a cosponsor. T he mission of the IEEE History Center is to preserve, research and promote the history of information and electrical technologies. The Center maintains many useful resources for the engineer, for the historian of technology, and for anyone interested in the development of electrical and computer engineering and their role in modern society. Kindly note that the History Center is not a Museum. We do not maintain artifacts and exhibits! We are solely a research facility! Visiting scholars and researchers are welcome to use our research library and archives, by appointment only! MS (Electrical Engineering), University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada BS (Electrical Engineering), University of Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya This site describes on-going research and graduate studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virginia. These pages give references to the research being conducted by Dr. Amin Dharamsi in non-intrusive laser based sensors. The research involves use of different types of lasers, including tunable diode lasers, in arrangements utilizing the principles of spectroscopy. Publications on modulation spectroscopy using single-mode diode lasers, including Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs), and on other research are given. The latter includes research on optoacoustics, excited state absorption spectroscopy, and interaction of sub-picosecond laser pulses with semiconductors. There are opportunities for suitably qualified and highly motivated students who want to pursue the Ph.D. in electrical engineering. Research and teaching assistantships as well as fellowships are available.
