IRELAND A Directory of Sources for Women's History in Ireland This site contains information and descriptions of over 14,000 collections and sources in 262 repositories in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland. The directory is the result of a survey undertaken by the Women's History Project, which was established under the directorship of Dr. Maria Luddy - to survey, list and publish historical documents relating to the history of women in Ireland. The Project management committee is made up of archivists, librarians, history teachers and academic historians. Items in the directory are given a brief description and location information is included. The site has a search engine. The Equality Authority Contains information about the Equality Authority, including the 9 areas covered under the Equality Act, information on discrimination, harassment, bibliographic details of publications of the Authority and services offered by the authority. The site has a search engine and provides a link to a number of other sites (mostly Irish) that have a related remit to the Equality Authority. It also provides a link to government publications including the fulltext of the Equal Status Act of 2000. National Women's Council of Ireland This is the national representative organisation for women and women's groups in Ireland. In 2001 there are 152 women's organisations and groups from all parts of Ireland affiliated to the Council.
