I am currently teaching at the University of South Carolina Union, and scheduled to teach at the UNCU Laurens. Since installation this index has been used by my students (in chronological order) at the University of South Carolina Union, Presbyterian College, the University of South Carolina Spartanburg, and Limestone College. This page contains links to information on current courses and art history resources. This page also contains links to computing, multimedia, and Web research information to assist in assignments. It will never be complete as I continually add art history and art links. I must apologize for pages created in my early days of Web publishing, they are plain and could use some rewriting. Most of my pages are written within "plain English" guidelines for international students, and designed with simplicity to load quickly. Some of these Web pages were quickly constructed for on-going art history courses. As time permits I will clean the pages and make them more attractive.

Anyway,
Sorry that I have missed sending out this newsletter for a few months! The greatest thing about my Story Teller and Usborne businesses is the flexibility they allow me to have. I have had a great summer presenting at a couple of events, and spending lots of time with my children. I have reorganized all my felt, and if you would like any suggestions, ideas, or help with organizing, or unique ideas about how to use a particular set, let me know! I have most of them, and I can tell you how my kids like to use them. Most of the doll sets are on sale this month. If you have been waiting to order one, now is a great time! I have had a lot of orders for Just Like Me Dolls this summer, too. They really are timeless. My Grandmother had one made for my Grandfather a couple of years ago using a childhood picture of him. When she gave it to him, he liked it so much he had one done for her! So many clothes come with the Girl and Boy Dolls, that you can really make this stretch as a gift. Add on a doll (with base) for $7.99 and divide up the clothes. There are plenty of clothes to go around. This is ideal also for families with multiple children.

You can now find commercials on TV, ads in magazines and on the web for the latest incarnation of the Gemstar eBook.  I have to say that I am still addicted to my Rocket and am not yet impressed enough with the REB to shell out the money for it.  That said, this site still continues to be links specifically for the Rocket eBook.  Many links will work for other formats, but I primarily do this for myself - so until I get another device  -  the Rocket will continue to be my format of choice.  I must say that I am looking very seriously at the hiebook, but we will have to see how it turns out.   Click here to find out about the new hiebook from Korea that has everybody holding their breath.
Thank you again for visiting; I hope that you will find many helpful resources here.  I don't always have the time to fully check out every site I link, so if you have a comment or a suggestion for the description of the site, please let me know.  I welcome your comments and your suggestions for site additions.  Q Last updated May 16, 2001

C++ Stack Traces

The CMake Build Manager

CMake is an open-source, cross-platform C/C++ build manager that supports platform inspection and user-customized builds. Complete List of Articles Papers Algorithm-Oriented Generic Libraries David R. Musser and Alexander A. Stepanov "We outline an approach to construction of software libraries in which generic algorithms (algorithmic abstractions) play a more central role than in conventional software library technology or in the object-oriented programming paradigm. Our approach is to consider algorithms first, decide what types and access operations they need for efficient execution, and regard the types and operations as formal parameters that can be instantiated in many different ways, as long as the actual parameters satisfy the assumptions on which the correctness and efficiency of the algorithms are based. The means by which instantiation is carried out is language dependent; in the C++ examples in this paper, we instantiate generic algorithms by constructing classes that define the needed types and access operations. By use of such compile-time techniques and careful attention to algorithmic issues, it is possible to construct software components of broad utility with no sacrifice of efficiency."

The library, along with associated tool programs, should handle most of your needs for reading and writing TIFF images on 32- and 64-bit machines. This software can also be used on older 16-bit systems though it may require some effort and you may need to leave out some of the compression support.

    Improving your reading techniques
    Another thing to consider in effective use of time is the time that you devote to reading documents. Improving your reading skills can significantly reduce the time you take to assimilate a document. There are two main strategies to achieving this: speed reading , where you learn to read quicker and more smoothly; and use of effective reading strategies , where you learn how to extract the information that you require from documents in the most efficient way possible.
