  • About RCS
    Wraparound Philosophy
RCS embraces Wraparound care as the philosophical basis for all its services. Wraparound is a dramatic change from the way behavioral healthcare has been provided to children and families in the past. Traditional mental health services often fail to meet the needs of children and families because they are inflexible and focus on pathology. The child and family have to fit into the formula or pattern set up by the provider agency. Wraparound care is individualized to "wrap" services around the unique needs, values, strengths, and social and racial makeup of children and families in RCS care. The involvement of parents or guardians in the behavioral healthcare of their child is a high priority for RCS. In Wraparound care, active participation of parents in every level of the process helps build family cooperation and encourages the family to trust the professionals who are involved. Listening to families about the needs of their children enables RCS to provide care that will prevent more serious and more expensive problems later. The Wraparound care offered by RCS is designed to empower families and partner with them in the individualized, strength-based care of their children, thereby transferring skills and knowledge to those families so that they can carry out their responsibilities for the health and development of their children. return to top Zebrus Studio in cooperation with Life Designs for Peace and Health

providing Support Education Research "Hope for the Future" for Hunter Families PHILOSOPHY S UPPORT The death of a child is a tragic and devastating event. The journey through the grief process takes time, empathy, understanding and support. A support structure is an essential component to allow families to "own" and normalise their grief - understanding that they are experiencing a "normal" reaction to an abnormal event in their lives.
E DUCATE AND R ESEARCH "Our children are our future"
In order to reduce the number of families who will experience the tragedy of the death of a baby, there is a need to educate the community on the risk factors of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and to keep them informed of accurate new research developments. Funding is required to facilitate research projects to continue to find the missing piece in the SIDS puzzle.
Objectives The support and comfort of families in all stages of grief.

Triathlon was a new Olympic sport at the Sydney 2000 summer Olympics, but it is also a great lifetime activity. Amateur age-group competitors range in age from 7 to 70. There are even a few 75 and 80 year olds out there!
But, sport is not only about winning; it’s about “just doing it,” and doing your best whether you are first or last. It’s about setting goals and reaching them, staying fit, and training with friends. This Cottonwood Heights Adult Triathlon Clinic and Triathlon Camp for Kids programs are about fun and participation. Triathlon Camp for Kids
Completion of a multi-sport event will be the emphasis with the younger children. Sportsmanship will be stressed with the older age groups. Maybe we will see a future Olympian, but first we will see smiling faces. We will see kids who finished a swim, bike, and run event, tried their best, and had a great time.
Put variety in your life! Be a multi-sport athlete.

Vineyard Kids - Our Philosophy of Ministry About Us What We Believe Pastoral Staff Coming Up ... Register for Upcoming Events
The desire of the Ithaca Vineyard is to see children come into relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and to grow in that relationship. We too must tell the next generation about who Jesus is and what He has done. Deuteronomy chapter 6 instructs us to "impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home, when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. So that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all His decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy a long life." The Ithaca Vineyard recognizes the children as functioning members of the body and as such are as their adult counterparts, "A church full of ministers!" Our vision for the Vineyard Kids' Ministry is to be:
  • A place in which children profoundly encounter Jesus Christ in the teaching and worship. Where children can meet the PERSON of Jesus; not just learn about Him.

The French-English Bilingual Preschool
Educational Philosophy and Approach

Our philosophy draws upon the best practices of the child-development tradition in early childhood education. Our program provides experiences to meet children's needs and stimulate learning in all developmental areas physical, social, emotional, and intellectual.
Play is a major component of the program, combined with activities such as: storytelling, reading stories, arts and crafts, music and movement, singing, puppetry, games, sewing, gardening, cooking, physical knowledge activities, and outdoor play. Readiness skills in literacy and math are taught individually or in small groups using developmentally appropriate activities and materials.
Our program places special emphasis on social development and language development in two languages. The curriculum is presented through monthly themes. Much of the curriculum content is centered around the world of nature and cycles of the year. Specialists in creative movement and storytelling / puppetry enrich the curriculum with weekly classes.
The classroom environment is serene and soothing. Most of the classroom furniture is hand-made of wood. Many playthings are handcrafted from natural materials such as wood, cotton and silk. Children enjoy outdoor play in the Great Meadows conservation land and fields located just behind the school.

All questions are being answered by kids 5-10 WHAT IS THE PROPER AGE TO GET MARRIED "Eighty-four! Because at that age, you don't have to work anymore, and you can spend all your time loving each other in your bedroom." (Judy, 8) "Once I'm done with kindergarten, I'm going to find me a wife!" (Tom, 5) WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE "On the first date, they just tell each other lies, and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date." (Mike, 10) WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE "You should never kiss a girl unless you have enough bucks to buy her a big ring and her own VCR, 'cause she'll want to have videos of the wedding." (Jim, 10) "Never kiss in front of other people. It's a big embarrassing thing if anybody sees you. But if nobody sees you, I might be willing to try it with a handsome boy, but just for a few hours." (Kally, 9) THE GREAT DEBATE: IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED "It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need somebody to clean up after them!" (Lynette, 9) "It gives me a headache to think about that stuff. I'm just a kid. I don't need that kind of trouble." (Kenny, 7)

Have you ever wondered about learning , or for that matter how we decide upon a method or style of teaching for young children? History reflects many educational ideas some concepts very different from others, yet many theories have been built upon earlier educationalists and philosophers works. Our current educationalists often reflect the refinement of some of the earlier works of educational thinkers. The following discussion aims to show that the philosophies held by Kids Campus are backed by many years of research, by many people looking and thinking about how young children learn and how best to facilitate that learning. 1. Our vision of the child and how they learn. Our belief about children and how they learn stems from work began very early in history with Plato, who considered that the " truth about things that really matter cannot be obtained ready made 1 . That is, we can not just hand down answers to children. He suggested that it is necessary for the individual to find their own answers, to discuss, to think. To bounce ideas around gathering opinions and eventually though this process develop convictions within the self. Such thinking was further developed in the work of Dewey , who also suggested that "

http://208.233.94.229/creativekids/philosophy.html
A child learns from playing with the people around him/her. A child learns different concepts from different groups of people. That is why at Creative Kids Family Daycare we strive for a balance between child/child interactin and adult/child interaction. Children thrive on routines. It gives them a sense of familiarity and security. This is why Creative Kids Family Daycare strives to keep to a daily schedule. (Schedules do change from season to season.) Parents/guardians are welcome to visit at anytime. However, if the visits begin to disrupt the group's routine (i.e. nap time or calming down afterward, etc.) other arrangements will have to be made. Remove child from situation. Inform child that their behavior was inappropriate and is not allowed. A time-out (duration determined by child's age) is assigned in time-out area. Children may also lose priviledges based on their behavior. After allocated time is up and child is calm, inappropriate behavior is rediscussed with child and he/she is allowed to resume play. Discuss reoccurring problem with parent.

IT'S A KIDS' WORLD
MY PHILOSOPHY
My goal in my day care is to create a loving "home" environment as opposed to a structured "classroom." The children should feel comfortable, as if they were at home and at the same time learn and have fun with other children. All the children must respect each other and their surroundings. I hope that each day the children will leave my house having accomplished at least one thing. It may be sharing a toy or learning a new song or just having a fun day!     My day care is made up of up to eight children. The ages can vary between one year and four years old. Because the children are of varied ages, the childrens schedule must be flexible. Each day seems to be different depending on the different "moods" of the children! My motto seems to be "Lets Go With The Flow."     It is very important to me to have an open line of communication with the parents. I want the parents to be able to tell me it they have a concern about anything and at the same time, have it so I can tell the parents my concerns.

78. Club Kids Flagstaff - Our Philosophy
These are the fundamental philosophies of Club kids Flagstaff We society.Club kids the best care for your child outside the home.
http://www.clubkids.co.nz/phlsphy.htm
These are the fundamental philosophies of Club Kids Flagstaff:
  • We believe that the most important thing a child can develop throughout their early childhood years is a high self-esteem and a belief in themselves as being competent, capable learners. From these beliefs, children will develop the correct learning disposition to achieve whatever they desire. We believe in providing children with links to the physical and natural world, and we therefore use and recycle natural products at Club Kids wherever possible. Throughout their early childhood years children develop important communication and social skills, such as language, turn-taking, negotiating, that behaviour has consequences, building friendships and learning how others think and feel. We provide a staff team who aim to help individuals grow in a holistic manner, with the knowledge that they are a valued member of the Club Kids community.

Improvisational.
Although formal music lessons will be provided, they will not be the focus of the program. From their first day at KMW, children will spend time improvising in a group setting. Research shows that improvisation is more prevalent in the everyday lives of at-risk youth because they lack the guiding social structures that other children have. The research also shows that encouraging children to improvise in a positive manner can help them to make better decisions. Improvisational activities will include students at all levels of musical experience. Drum circles with rotating solos and hip-hop circles with rotating freestyle rap and beatbox solos allow all children to participate.
Creative. Music can be a forum for achievement, but it is just as important as a forum for freedom and expression, especially for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Therefore, students will learn music as something to be created, not just recited. Important works of music will be taught; however, there will be a strong focus on creating new music. They will also learn cooperation skills by collaborating with other students to write and record original musical pieces, which will be featured in CDs and public performances. Furthermore, students will be encouraged to write music along the positive themes underlying the program: respect, courtesy, service, citizenship, and community.
