He pursued his dream at Chapman College and the University of La Verne where he earned a BA in English, a Masters in Administrative Services, a Ryan Single Subject Credential in English and a K-12 School Services Credential. Mr. Besta taught English at El Rancho for one year, served as an advisor for four years, and has been our esteemed principal since 1997. He was honored in 1999 as the Orange Unified Administrator of the Year. Mr. Besta and his wife, Jean, make time to travel, watch movies and run, as often as possible. Mary Beth Cary has been teaching at El Rancho for 16 years. Growing up in Dayton, Ohio and Phoenix, Arizona, she knew she wanted to be a parent and teaching was a natural outgrowth from that desire. Ms. Cary studied math and social studies and has earned credentials as a teacher, media specialist, and Teacher of English as a Second Language (TESL). In her free time she loves to garden, golf and spend time with her family.
