English as a Second Language (ESL)
ESL is for students who need further instruction in the English language before attending a college or university in the United States. Students also study English as a second language to improve their English for business and professional purposes. Classes are offered at basic, intermediate and advanced levels. ESL Students are not required to have a TOEFL score upon admittance, but students should take the test at some point. After meeting the language proficiency requirements , students may choose to apply to Capital University ESL students who are at the advanced level may take courses at Capital University with the approval of the ESL director and the course instructor. Language levels will be determined by examination at the beginning of each term.
