Histopathologic Correlation in Dermoscopy Dermoscopy is a simple, in vivo method to aid in the differential diagnosis of pigmented skin lesions, including malignant melanoma. Using an oil immersion technique and optical magnification, structures not visible to the naked eye can be discerned. Braun and colleagues used a 1-mm micropunch in areas of dermoscopic interest to mark sites within excised specimens for subsequent histopathologic examination.

Our goal is, quite simply. to provide the type of dermatologic care which we would seek for our own families. That is a very important point, since physicans often use the phrase of "Doctor's Doctor," referring to those individuals who typically are selected by physicians themselves for personal care. We are confident that our practice fully meets that definition.

Published since 1955, INDIAN JOURNAL OF DERMATOLOGY, continues to be one of the pioneer medical journals from India. It is in fact, one of the oldest journals dedicated to this particular discipline.
Since it's inception, the JOURNAL publishes information relating to skin, it's ailments and the different modes of therapeutics.
It is interesting to note that the JOURNAL started its journey much before the foundation of the present form of national forum for dermatologists in India. Under the editorship of Prof. Ganapati Panja, the first copy of the JOURNAL rolled out of the press in October 1955 in Kolkata. It has never changed its name and home since.
