Links "...an invaluable resource for anyone learning or reviewing Czech." - Dr. Susan Kresin, Dept. of Slavic Languages and Literature, UCLA Take a look at the content: Czech History and Czech Grammar WinCzEduc is the joint effort of language, literature and computer science teachers at  Masaryk University´s Faculty of Liberal Arts and Faculty of Education in Brno, Czech Republic.  Various linguists within the university system and at other institutions, experts in the field of language learning resources and IT analysts cooperated in completion of this project. The software has several aspects which appeal to beginners (noun models and their declensions, verb classes and their conjugations, and an extensive grammar approach), but is not a pure beginners' program in a traditional sense. Software users in the Czech Republic and abroad have included private language schools, primary and secondary schools, universities (University of London and University of Baltimore), private individuals, firms and Czech historical and cultural societies as well as professional organizations.  These have included nationals from North and South America, Europe, Australia, the UK and Asia. WinCzEduc : CD-Rom Home Overview Czech History Czech Grammar ... Links Created by teachers at Masaryk University´s Faculty of Liberal Arts and Faculty of Education in Brno, Czech Republic, WinCzEduc grew out of a passion for Czech language and history and utilizes the latest knowledge in Computer Assisted Education on the medium of CD ROM. With language study at schools, at conferences and in publications around the world stressing the dynamic approach of new multi-media products, this Czech software program gives both the language and culture exposure which other lesser studied languages do not enjoy as of now. The original idea of the project was to take the leading events of Czech history as a vehicle for language study on the novel medium of CD ROM, while respecting traditional aspects of language study such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. In short, grammar fundamentals (eg, noun declension models, verb classes) appeal to beginners while more difficult texts and finer points of grammar better appeal to more advanced students, offering an effective program to a wide range of users. All levels have enjoyed the historical, cultural aspects. Thus, the multimedia software uses 18 texts of Czech history as the basis for combining its other features. These texts stretch from Lesson 1 - The Migration of Peoples and Lesson 2- The Great Moravian Empire to Lesson 17 - The Velvet Revolution and Lesson 18 - The 1993 Velvet Divorce of Czechoslovakia.
