86. Antonia Toneva. Fantastic Computer Generated Art
Antonia Toneva contemporary artist from Eastern Europe. Fantastic computergenerated art of Bulgaria. Art of imagination. ANTONIA
http://www.angelfire.com/ma4/juratemacnoriute/AT.html
ANTONIA TONEVA (Bulgaria USA) Antonia Toneva an example of contemporary woman painter from Eastern Europe who is professionally well grounded like large majority of artists from all former socialist countries. Undoubtedly Antonia Toneva is very talented, sensitive, visionary, non rational and very feminine. Her colours are rich and nice. She is national Bulgarian (we see national costumes in her pictures; her artworks has some similarity to the frescoes in the Boyana Church of 13th century). She works very skilful, and surveying of her beautiful and interesting artworks gives pleasure for spectator. Her manner is sooner graphic, but not pictorial; her composition is sooner open, but not closed (frame is the physical end of picture, but not logical and artistic). Her images are created using computer. Antonia is currently living in the US. She has lived here for a while. 5-6 years. She's also fairly young, about 28. If I were in place of Antonia, what would I do differently from her? 1. I would take more care about structure of artwork, that is about composition. Perhaps a window which became chaotically in half covered with snow or with coloured rags looks beautiful, but is it art? (If someone desires to study about structure of picture, he/she can read old and good book of American author Rudolf Arnheim

Computer-Generated Art
(Redirected from Computer-generated art Computer-generated art is art created with a computer. The term is usually appied to works created entirely with a computer. It is a subset of digital art Movies make heavy use of computer-generated graphics; it is called computer generated imaging (CGI) in the film industry. In the , and early CGI advanced enough so that for the first time it was possible to create realistic 3D computer animation. The film The Phantom Menace was widely noted for its heavt use of computer graphics. Some people argue that completely computer-generated art isn't really art at all, since computers can't really appreciate beauty. See the definition of art The emerging answer seems to be that they makes a great paintbrush. A paintbrush makes no commentary about the quality of the work, but in the hands of a master can demonstrate the subtlest shadings and evoke the strongest emotions. The computer is a tool, and a liberating one; your standard paintbrush also doesn't have an

Talk:Computer-Generated Art
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I've started a rewrite. I deleted a bunch of irrelevant stuff; it's in the history. TODO, from the old article:
  • Discuss painting. Image manipulation. Compositing. Animation. Output. But is it art? The future.

http://www.eristic.net/art197.html
These are images that I did entirely on the computer in my Art 197 class, Computer Art (beginning). They were made on the Macintosh with a program called Metacreations Painter 5.5. I don't have my first project up since I neglected to turn it into a Photoshop file or JPEG before the end of the semester, but I still have the Painter RIFF and someday I'll get it in a readable format. Project 2 Tutorial 6 Project 3 None of these have real titles.
  • Project 2: The assignment was based on "primitive" art motifs and the main focus of it was blending layers, or as Painter 5.5 calls them, "floaters". We were provided with an assortment of cave art and African art to use as sources, but since I'm not fond of either of those, I traversed the web and found some Northwest, Southwest and Plains American Indian art to work with. I have an appx. 11x14 inch printout of this and it's really quite cool, though the fancy Epson inkjet it was printed on is no speed demon. Tutorial 6: This was the only tutorial I did that was good enough to keep. It's supposd to be a CD cover. This tutorial was to get us familiar with the pen tool and vector drawing as well as the drop-shadow and text effects that Painter could do. The size of the image was specified at 4 inches by 4 inches, and to me that said "CD cover" since I'd had to do one of those in my digital imaging class. I know of no band named Eversaturn and no album called Time Out of Mind, but what the heck. I was making it up.
