Evidence indicates that NAFTA works to the advantage of the multinational business interests, through their ability to manipulate prices against producers in all three countries. I have information that leads me to believe that NAFTA is being used by four major U.S. packing houses to help them control livestock prices to their advantage. I suspect, when livestock producers try to refuse unacceptable prices, the packing houses simply supply their livestock needs from the other countries until the rebelling livestock producers are forced to accept their manipulated prices; the same tactic is used in all three countries. I believe a Congressional investigation is warranted. As if NAFTA has not done enough damage to our family farmers already, the Bush administration, and his Washington puppet politician cohorts, now are trying to expand NAFTA to include all of south America through their Free Trade Areas of the Americas agreement.
