AUSTRALIAN MILITARY EQUIPMENT PROFILES Military Publications and Information. ABOUT US . . . Australian Military Equipment Profiles (AMEP) is an organisation that specialises in research on military technology manufactured in or used by Australia. Established in 1990, the company publishes the results of this research in the "Profiles" series of books, and in other specialised publications such as "Battlegroup Leopard". The company also maintains an extensive photographic, audio and written records archive. There are two principals, Michael Cecil and Krystii Melaine. Michael Cecil: Michael has been researching military technology for nearly 30 years. While modelling provided an early impetus to research, it was the move to restoring the real thing at "one to one" scale that proved to be the main catalyst. His primary area of interest is the technology used by Australia, but he also has a strong interest in the military technology of other countries. Michael has published widely, including regular weapons profiles in the Australian Army's quarterly magazine ARMY . Other magazines that have featured articles by Mike Cecil include Australian Plastics Modeller, Australian Military History, AFV News, Army Motors

Yet, per head of population (less than 4.5 Million) at the time, she suffered more casualties than any other country, 59,512 Killed and 166,815 wounded. (2 out of every 3 men who volunteered) Australia first sent troops to war in 1885 to Sudan. Since then she has participated in The Maori Wars in New Zealand, Boxer Rebellion - China, Boer War - Africa, First World War, Second World War, Malaya, Korea, Borneo, Vietnam and Kuwait. Plus numerous peacekeeping and humanitarian roles. Most recently their temendous peacekeeping role in East Timor.
