Jaworsky, who was wrestling in the freestyle competition at 138.75 pounds, was eliminated from competition for a spot on the 2000 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team. Jaworsky had advanced to Friday's match with a pair of wins on Thursday. He won his first match by pin, defeating Jason Mester in only 51 seconds. Jaworsky had a tougher time in his second match of the day but was able to defeat Shawn Charles by a 3-2 decision. Two-time World medalist Cary Kolat won a two-match sweep over Zadick to qualify for his first U.S. Olympic Team. Kolat defeated Zadick, 4-1 and 3-0 to claim his Olympic team berth. Kolat was second in the 1997 World Championships and third at the 1998 World Championships.
