This book gives out tips that are really of good sense. For instance, it advices on understanding yourself well enough (meaning your skills, strengths, weaknesses, personalty and interests)so that you can compose an accurate summary of who you are in your application. It also advices on doing a bit of research about the schools and the faculty that heads the scholarship body in order that you understand your audience well enough to be able to present your skills and strengths effectively as deserving of their support.

The book is a sensible read. It gives facts about getting ready your scholarship applications and very helpful advice on familiarizing yourself with your skills well enough so you can write your application in such a way that you portray yourself as a scholar or that you sound convincing enough that you want to be a scholar and need the scholarship.

I thought the book is a good basic summary of the practicalities of applying and getting approved for a scholarship. It makes a good point about stirring up the emotions honestly and sincerely when making the application letter so that it gets approved.
