From the supplier: Alabama Circuit Court Judge Eugene Reese ruled that the state does not provide sufficient and impartial educational opportunities to its children. The ruling is a result of deliberations on the case filed by a group of 22 Alabama public schools against the state. It brought to light the inadequate funding extended by Alabama for the education of children. Cited as defendant in the lawsuit was former Gov Guy Hunt who opposed the court's decision by pointing out that increasing the funding for schools is not the cure for the public school system's ills. Hunt also claimed that the suit's main intent was to increase taxes by $1 billion.
