4-0 out of 5 stars good read
Me and my mom read this to my brother. He thought it was awesome, and it wan't bad reading it to him either

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointment of goosebumps
The book goosebumps by R.L STINE was terrible. Ive wasted my money and time readying a book that didnt make sense. Its more of a mystery book than a horror. The book has 30 tales that relates to camping. The book was boooring.

Goosebump is a bad book, it was terrible how they used the same character names over and over again, instead of other characters. In the end of every tale the spirit, eats the character or he/she is trapped. The book was dumb and lacked questions.

What was confusing to understand was a girl that is willing to listen to a shell and walk into a dark cave. Liek wouldnt the girl's oarents get worried? And how can the shell even talk. There was a tale that a character had imaginairy friends, One of his imaginairy friends had an imaginairy friend. See thats how confusing it is, dont you think its a bad book?

Goosebumps was a disappointment to me, it wasnt intresting it was you know boring. Im going to say that im rating this book a 1. In fact i wouldnt recomend it to anyone. All i can say is dont bother reading goosebumps.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fright Christmas
Kenny Frobisher is the meanest bully in Shadyside Middle School. One day he was stranded at Dalby's Department Store. This is the funniest part, he keeps on shouting and shouting. When Kenny gets out,the store is locked. Now Kenny is alone, until three frightening ghosts[scariest ghosts in FEAR STREET] comes and will wish him a SCARY CHRISTMAS.

3-0 out of 5 stars Scrooge
A newer creepier verison of A Chrismas Carol. Kenny as Scrooge. And a biker,a ghost(the one on the cover), and something else as the three ghosts. Ending leaves you kinda hanging. But It's an okay book.If you like R.l.Stine, then read this book.

I recently was in the cast of A Christmas Carol and as opening night and the holidays rolled around I was looking for an appropriate gift for the kids in the show.I got this book for each and the reviews were terrific! Each one told me how much he/she loved it.It kept them all busy forseveral days during their off-stage time, both reading and discussing witheachother. It was a fun comparison to the Dickens which they now knew sowell.I say get both and start your own Oprah style book discussions withthe "juniors" in your house.

3-0 out of 5 stars Interesting at times, but otherwise it was dragging
Synopsis: Wendy Chapman loves cats, even though she doesn't have any of her own. Nancy, one of the girls in Shadyside Middle School, constantly pokes jokes at Wendy for being obsessed with cats. One day, Wendy and her friend, Tina Barnes go to the "Shadyside Cat Circle Breeders Show" to look at the variety of cats displayed. In one of the rooms, they see a stall where a woman named Mrs. Bast encourages them to buy some cat souvenirs. Wendy sees a silver chain, with a metal charm of a cat with a white star on its forehead. Wendy loves it and takes it, even though Mrs. Bast tells her about Werecats and warns her from buying it.

As soon as Wendy wears the chain, she starts turning into a Werecat at midnight. Even though she initially loves the experience of being a cat, the vicious nature of the Werecat starts to control Wendy. Can Wendy remove the curse of the Werecat from her body before it is too late?

Review: I thought this book was interesting at times, but on the whole I thought it dragged on for quite sometime. First of all, I don't understand why Nancy, the mean girl, pokes jokes at Wendy for liking cats, when she hasn't even seen Wendy with even 1 cat. Okay, so Nancy is allergic to cat hair, but it doesn't explain why she pokes fun at Wendy for it.

Secondly, the story repeats itself in the middle, when the author repeatedly mentions that Wendy the Werecat jumps out at night and clearly sees the insects, the moths etc. again and again. If the author had put in a different angle to what he wrote, instead of writing the same thing, then it would have been more fun to read it.

However, there were also some entertaining parts to the book. For instance, I enjoyed how Wendy got her revenge on Nancy, by going to her room and spreading her scent everywhere, knowing that Nancy was allergic to it. I also liked the ending because there was a twist to it which I did not expect.

Overall, the book had some good cliffhangers to it, but otherwise it was dull.

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatness!
When the book arrived it was in exellent condition. The delivery was fast (I dont know who is in charge of that, but thanks!) and the book was very inexpensive. I was definatley impressed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended
I loved this book. If you own a cat it is better. Really scarey and you can't put it down... you just must know what's going to happen next.

5-0 out of 5 stars Night Of The Living Werecat
I would recommend this book to any one who likes cats. It's about a girl named Wendy who buys a werecat charm, that she isn't supposed to buy. The women tells her it's not a cat charm it's a werecat charm. Later that night Wendy wakes up and notices that the moon is full. She never used to wake up at nighttime. When Wendy looks at moon she starts to fell funny. She notices that the charm she had gotten was glowing. She noticed she is growing fur all over her body. Her teeth are sharper than usual. Her ears have moved to the top of her head and they are now pointy. When Wendy wakes up she thinks that turning into a werecat was just a dream. She goes downstairs to get a drink. She drinks a half-a gallon of milk. The next night she turns back into a werecat. She goes back to the lady that sold her the werecat charm. She gets it taken off. Wendy still can't understand why she is still turning into a werecat. When Wendy turns into a werecat, and jumps out of her window and on a tree she sees another cat. Wendy approaches the cat and realizes that the cat has a white star on top of its forehead, just like her. She looks behind the black werecat and realizes that there are two others just like her. When the sun comes up Wendy realizes that the three werecats are her parents and her brother. Her parents explain why she has been turning into a werecat. It was because her ancestors werecats too.
The End

5-0 out of 5 stars Good book for kids
I read this book when I was younger and loved it! It's about a young girl who loves cats, but her mother and father won't let her get one. One day when she gose to a cat show she finds a cool looking charm with a cat on it that is being sold by the towns crazy cat lady(there's one in every town). Even after the crazy cat tells her No, you can't have it, she takes it. After that every night she turns into a Werecat at Midnight, doomed to run the streets untill light of morning.
The book was a lot of fun, and I found it to have a shocking end (normal for R.L. Stine). ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Phone trouble
Karen suspects that her boyfriend Ethan is losing interest in her, and that he would rather be with Wendy, the most popular girl in school. The suspicion is driving her nuts.
Then the threatening phone calls begin. Are they jokes or is someone after her? Or is she losing it?

I found this book disappointing. It didn't captivate me.

2-0 out of 5 stars Confusing story with an annoying character!
Synopsis: Karen Masters thinks her boyfriend Ethan Parker is cheating on her with Wendy Talbot. Micah Davis, her best friend thinks Karen is overreacting and tells her not to worry about it. Karen's cousin, Adam comes back to town and acts very strangely. Ethan seems reserved and tries to avoid Karen. Ethan's friend Jake doesn't like her either. In a desperate attempt to keep Ethan, Karen pretends to receive threatening phone calls so that Ethan can come to her rescue. However, later Karen really starts getting threatening phone calls from someone who hates her. Can she find out who is putting her life in danger before it's too late?

(I cannot be more specific about the synopsis because the plot keeps changing in the book)

Review: Ugh, where do I begin? This book was atrocious! The main reason I disliked it so much was because of Karen's character. Let's see, this girl stalks her boyfriend, is obsessed with him, has sudden flashes of rage, doesn't even know if she pushed a girl to her death or not, throws temper tantrums at everyone, lies to everyone one minute, gets caught, and wants to go to the dance club the next minute, thinks her cousin is weird for hearing voices but doesn't find it weird when she hears them voices a broken phone, and WE are supposed to root for her? Give me a break!

Even the writing was horrible. I felt the actually story started in the last 50 pages of the book, when Karen actually starts receiving the phone calls. Also, every time someone like Ethan, Micah, Wendy etc. gave her an explanation as to their strange behavior, Karen kept wondering, `are they telling the truth, or lying to me'? This started becoming repetitious and confusing throughout the book, to the point where I felt that I didn't even know what was true anymore.

I don't even know what the point of Adam's character in the book was!

Even though the ending made sense (well at least I think it did; I didn't bother looking back at the story to see if there were any loopholes), I felt frustrated because the one character I remotely liked in the book turned out to be the psycho.

But, there were some parts I enjoyed in the book, such as anytime someone like Chris scared Karen, or when she received threatening phone calls from a broken phone in school. It was fun seeing her actually squirm for awhile.

I really think I would have enjoyed the book better if Stine hadn't written Karen so badly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Almost Scary!
I liked this book . Cory stays with Granny Marsha and Granny thought Cory has a fever because he was sneezing. Granny Marsha gives weird medicines that even made him like a hairy monster!

4-0 out of 5 stars The almost scariest book ever
I think this book is very scary, but, it may be scarier. It was scary. But, a little more scary would be better. It's set in a house, with a evil granny, and a grandson happy as can be. Here's the ONLY part that was terrifying: When Corey [the boy], saw Amy [his sister] and Amy rescued him from the cluches of evil Granny Marsha. Why? Because she was getting back at them.
This book was good, but it could of been better with a longer ending.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good enough, I guess...
I read this book in what I guess what probably the 6th grade, because around that time I loved whatever had the name "R.L. Stine" written on it. I knew from the start these books weren't written by him,but I still gave them a shot, because after reading the first two (the bestones of the series) I decided to stick around for the ride. I have only afadey memory of this book, but remember that the plot of the book waspretty good and kept you involved. The ending was a pretty cheap pay off,and ruined basically what would have been a decent read. But, then again, you could see one of them crazy endings coming from the beginning, becauseas it built up, that ending was the only way to really pull off the storywithout it looking totally rediculous. And it was a Ghosts of Fear Streetbook, and most always ended like that (Ex. "The Boy Who Ate FearStreet" and "Night of the Werecat", to name a few). It's anokay read if you don't mind the helpless ending.

3-0 out of 5 stars He's out to take over...your life!
Your mom has gotten a new job at the labs of Dr. Eeek. Your mom has promised you that she'll take you and your friend Sam to the movies once you meet her at Dr. Eeek's labs. You and Sam go, and expect a great time at the movies--but instead you have a terrifying time at the labs of Dr. Eeek.

If you choose to follow a chimpanzee, you find yourself in a room full of chimps who are being examined. But is the idea really as cool as it seems? If you choose to examine some green goo, you might find yourself trapped in a virtual video game where you actually can die! If you choose to take part in a test, you'll find yourself in a maze with many hungry dogs! But no matter what path you choose, the terror of Dr. Eeek will always be there.

THE DEADLY EXPERIMENTS OF DR. EEEK is a very interesting Give Yourself Goosebumps book. There were many creepy parts. But a problem I had with this book was that there was always a new path to take, causing it to be impossible to find the best ending of the book. And a lot of the endings were pretty stupid. Aside from these problems, I recommend this book to people looking for a scary time.
